Abstract

1,228,858. Labels. WILHELM JACKSTADT & CO. K.G. 31 May, 1968, No. 26262/68. Heading B8F. Moisture-impervious protective layers 5, 6 are situated on either side of a self-adhesive layer 4 of a label 3 on a carrier 1. The layers 5, 6 may be polyvinylidene chloride, polyethylene or polyterephthalic acid ester. The adhesive layer, which enters under the influence of moisture into an irreversible connection with an article by cross-linkage, comprises rubber, to which softeners, tackifiers and isocyanate have been added. A silicone rubber adhesive repelling layer 12 is provided. The unprotected edges 7 of the label are bent down with punches 8 to exclude atmospheric moisture. A moistureimpermeable lacquer may be applied to the edges.
