1,228,633. Yarn winding machines. ELITEX-ZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI GENERALNI REDITELSTVI. 6 Aug., 1968 [17 Aug., 1967], No. 37407/68. Heading D1J. An automatic winding machine of the kind having a plurality of winding units 2 mounted beside each other on the machine frame, and having built in pneumatic and electrical power distribution lines 7, 16, 18 common to all of the winding units 2, is characterized in that each winding unit 2 is swingable about a lower axis 3 so that it can either be removed from the machine or swung to a setting in which it is in operative connection with one or more of said lines 7, 16, 18. In the apparatus shown there is a suction line 7, a pressure line 16, and an electrical distribution channel 18. Guides with vibration damping linings 9 support each unit against sideways motion. Each winding unit 2 has orifices that connect with corresponding flow paths 12, 13, 17 in the suction and pressure lines, and a power cable 21 with plug 20.
