A board game comprises the following elements, a board marked as shown in Fig. 1, personal tokens which are distributed, one to each player, a set of "talent" cards which bear the name of a popular singer, a set of "song" cards which bear the name of a popular song, a number of sets of card carriers, each set having a distinctive colouring, a pair of dice, play money, publicity cards indicating alternative moves and "Golden Disc" cards. At the beginning of the game the players each receive a certain amount of play money, two "Talent" cards and two "Song" cards. The players commence by placing their personal tokens on the start square and dummy "Hits" in the "Top Ten" column. Having set the game up the players take it in turns to throw the dice, displacing their personal tokens along the track by the number of squares indicated by the dice. If the personal token of a player starts from, or passes, the start square it can be moved to the left or the right along the top row; once initiated, however, this direction of motion must continue, following one of the paths marked by the arrows, until the start square is passed again. At any time during the game a player may pair a "Song" card with a "Talent" card to form a "New Release". This is done by placing a carrier card in one of the areas marked "New Releases" and placing the "Song" and "Talent" cards side by side in it. As explained in the specification the various squares on the periphery of the board indicate courses of action open to the player "landing" on them, and the squares in the central column allow for the payment of play money. The play money can be exchanged at any time for a "Golden Disc" card or when the player occupies the appropriate square for new "Talent" or "Song" cards, the object of the game being to obtain a certain predetermined number of "Golden Disc" cards.
