Abstract

1,226,505. Concrete reinforcing rod. DYCKERHOFF & WIDMANN K.G. 11 Feb., 1969 [12 Feb., 1968], No. 7393/69. Heading E1K. A reinforcing rod for prestressed or unstressed reinforcement of concrete has separate helically extending ribs 4 on opposite sides of the rod circumference with the ends of the ribs merging with the cylindrical surface of the rod, the ribs extending to their full height only along one third of the rod circumference. The ribs may thus constitute either an interrupted single or double-start thread. The ribs may be formed by hot-rolling.
