[Also in Division G3] The device transports a plurality of announcement panels 3 to a viewing position in a sequence determined by the setting of preselector means. As described, the edges 3a of a selected panel are engaged by a selected one of six plungers 21 riding in a block 20 under friction caused by spring 22. As block 20 rises on cables 7 the chosen panel is thus raised; as it falls, cam block 25 disengages the plunger 21; and an arm 23 operated by a solenoid 24 (there is one for each plunger 21) actuates the next plunger to pick up the next panel on rising. During changing of the panels, a Venetian blind 11 is lowered by a motor 12, its slats are inclined by motor 13. Control circuit (Fig. 5, not shown).-Over a period of a week the announcements are changed every half hour. This is achieved by a timer (T) in series with a 30-min. (C1), a 3-hour (C2), and a one-day counter (C3). (C1) is fed via AND gates (A1 to A6) to different groups of contact sets (CS1 to CS6) each group comprising one contact set on each of seven relays (RL1 to RL7) which can be energized by the one-day counter (C3). The 42 contact sets are connected to a patching plug (PP) whose connections determine the sequence of display. The AND gates are triggered by pulses from a limit switch (S2) actuated by the panels 3. In a variation, the control circuit merely comprises a moving element engaging contacts on a disc.
