Abstract

1,224,624. Driving arrangement for detaching rollers. MASCHINENFABRIK RIETER A.G. 17 June, 1968 [30 Sept., 1967], No. 28654/ 68. Heading D1N In a rectilinear camber the detaching rollers 23 are driven by a differential gear 21 which has an input which receives both a reciprocating drive and a uniform drive. An eccentric 8 receives a non-uniform rotating movement through a pull rod 10 from a crank pin 5 movable at a constant speed about circular camb shaft 1 which is off-set relative to the centre of rotation of the eccentric. The eccentric supports a rocker 11 pivotally connected with a supporting lever 14 which is rotatably mounted on a nipper drive spindle 22, the rocker acting through a link 16 to transmit the movement imparted to it by the rocker 11 to a control lever 17 fixed to shaft 20 of the differential gear. The pull rod 10 is driven off the camb shaft 1 through an angularly adjustable wheel 4 which supports the crank pin 5, the effective length of the pull red being adjustable. The rocker 11 is pivotally connected to link 16 at a point diametrically opposite to the pivot 15 of the supporting lever. The uniform drive is transmitted to the differential gear from the shaft 1 by gear wheels 27, 28, a link 30' connected to a planet wheel 32 and via a further wheel 32' and sun wheel 33 mounted on shaft 20.
