1,224,525. Soldering; jointing. INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP. 13 Dec., 1968 [20 Dec., 1967], No. 59349/68. Headings B3R and B3V. [Also in Divisions H1 and H2] An electrical component 1 such as a capacitor, a resistor, a diode or a transistor is provided with barbs or sawteeth 4 on the lead-wires 2, 3 for preventing the component being pulled or falling off a circuit board 5 prior to soldering. The component may consist of other leads not intended for mounting on the board. The leadwires may be flat tapes or ribbons or wires having an angular or circular cross-section in which case the barbs are arranged on one or more of the edges.
