Abstract
122,403. Odam, E. Jan. 18, 1918, [Convention date] Gas-pressure sprayers.-Metals and other fusible materials are heated by the products of combustion under pressure of solid, liquid, or gaseous fuel, and are atomized by the expansion of the combustion products into the atmosphere. In the apparatus shown, a blowpipe burner d supplied with gas and air through pipes e, f is mounted in a chamber a, through which passes a feed-pipe k for the molten material to be treated, additional air being supplied through pipes g, i. The nozzle m of the pipe k projects into an outlet n from the chamber a. In a modification, the burner d and the pipe k are in separate communicating compartments of the chamber a.
