1,223,594. Cementitious compositions. W. A. PROELL. 27 March, 1968 [7 Sept., 1967], No. 14758/68. Heading C1H. Cementitious compositions contain 0À1-3 wt. per cent, based on the weight of cement, of a strengthening additive comprising at least one substance selected from partial fatty acid esters of sorbitan or sorbitol, ethoxylates of the partial fatty acid esters of sorbitan or sorbitol, partial fatty acid esters of glycerol, and partial fatty acid esters of choline glycerophosphates (lecithins) together with at least one substance selected from sulphonated polyethylene glycol or sulphonated glycerol, in which at least one hydroxyl group is attached to a sulphate group or a salt thereof as a sulphate ester and at least one other hydroxyl group has been converted to a fatty acid ether or ester, sulphonated condensation products of formaldehyde and naphthalene or condensates of formaldehyde and naphthalene sulphonic acid. The compositions can contain sand and crushed rock.
