Abstract

1,223,583. Pedal car; vehicle steering mechanism. TRI-ANG PEDIGREE Ltd. 4 Sept., 1969 [4 Sept., 1968], No. 42076/68. Headings B7E and B7H. A pedal car in which the body 6 is formed from a single injection moulding of plastics material, is provided with front steering wheels 13, each wheel being mounted on a stub axle 14 fitted into a block 15 and formed with an upwardly extending projection 16 which pivots in a socket 10 formed in a web 7 which extends integrally downwards from the body moulding and inwardly from the wheel. The two blocks are connected by a tie rod 23 provided with a U-shaped centre portion 24 which receives the tip of a hook 25 formed on the end of a steering column. The car is propelled by a pair of pivotably mounted pedals 32 connected by rods 33 to cranked portions 34 of rear axle 35.
