Abstract

1,221,812. Dewatering sludges. DOW CHEMICAL CO. 26 April, 1968, No. 20005/68. Heading C1C. Sludges are dewatered by a process in which the primary sludge is treated with 0À05 to 2 p.p.m. of an anionic polymer then mixed with a secondary sludge of less than 0.9 solids ratio in the mixture and at least 40% less than the ratio without anionic preconditioning before treatment with a cationic reagent.
