Abstract

1,221,510. Telescopic jibs for cranes. RICHIER. 30 Dec., 1969 [30 Dec., 1968], No. 63375/69. Heading B8B. A telescopic jib for a crane comprises three members 1, 2, 3 extendable hydraulically. The member 3 is provided with a head 5 carrying a hoisting pulley 6 and an inclinable telescopic end element 4 slidable in the member 3 and provided with a hoisting pulley 20. The end element 4 is provided with holes 7 to 10 cooperating with a pin 11 passing therethrough and through a hole in the head 5. Fig. 8 shows the element 4 partly extended. When fully extended, the pin 11 forms a pivot and the element 4 can be inclined relative to the element 3, being fixed in position by a further pin 18 passing through a hole in the head 5 and through one of a series of holes 15, 16, 17 in the end of the element 3.
