Abstract

1,221,169. Trawling. FRIED. KRUPP G.m.b.H. 12 Sept., 1969 [13 Sept., 1968], No. 45196/69. Heading A1A. [Also in Division H4] A method of controlling the trim of a trawl net by adjusting the length of the trawl warps employs an acoustic method for determining the symmetry of the net. By measuring distances c and c<SP>1</SP> between reference points A, B and A, B<SP>1</SP> respectively using acoustic transducers, information on the spatial arrangement of the net is obtained. To help in the interpretation of this information a triangular calculating device, Fig. 2 (not shown), may be provided. An alternative arrangement employs 4 transducers B B<SP>1</SP>, C C<SP>1</SP>, Fig. 3 (not shown).
