Abstract

[Also in Division F4] A lampshade in the form of a tubular plastics member having a screw-threaded interior surface is injection moulded in a mould having a screw threaded core which is subsequently unscrewed from the member. The exterior surface of the member is formed with axially extending ribs which prevent the member from rotating in the outer part of the mould whilst the core is being withdrawn. The mould may be slightly conical in shape, and the core may be moved axially relative to the outer part to withdraw part of the member from the mould before unscrewing the core.
