1,219,090. Discharging liquids under gaseous pressure. MOORE MEDICINAL PRODUCTS Ltd. May 22, 1968 [May 22, 1967], No.23751/67. Heading F1R. [Also in Division A5] An aerosol medicament inhaler comprises a delivery tube assembly 10 mounted on the discharge valve stem 3 of an aerosol dispensing container 1, an air inlet to the inhaler mouthpiece 15 being provided by an aperture 35 and clearance between a skirt 17 and the container, and closure of the air inlet diving opening of the discharge valve being effected by sealing engagement of skirt surface 23 with container valve housing shoulder 6 when assembly 10 and container 1 are moved towards each other. In other embodiments, Fig. 2 and 3 (not shown), closure of the air inlet is provided by sealing engagement between a reslient, inwardlydirected flange on the skirt and the valve housing, and by sealing engagement between an outwardlydirected flange on the bottom of the skirt and a shoulder on the container.
