Abstract

1,218,702. Container rinsing apparatus. "AUTOMATIC" SPRINKLER CORP. OF AMERICA. 17 March, 1969, No. 13774/69. Heading B8T. In a container rinsing apparatus 10, containers 18 are supplied by a conveyer belt 20 to a driven worm 13, are inverted by a curved member 30, are conveyed by the worm 13 for rinsing by fluid ejected from spray heads 50 and 150, are turned upright by a second curved member 100, and are removed from the apparatus by means of an endless belt 101. Fluid is only ejected from the spray heads 50 and 150 during the upper part of their run. The spray heads may be modified, Fig. 9 (not shown), for the delivery of compressed air.
