1,217,620. Refractories. DYNAMIT NOBEL A.G. 24 Dec., 1968, No. 61462/68. Heading C1J. A refractory comprises α-; α#-; or zirconium corundum (defined), a minor amount of glass and 0À01-0À16% carbon. It is made by melting the corundum and glass in an arc furnace with carbon electrodes, the carbon content varying according to the depth of immersion of the electrodes.
