Abstract
1,215,898. Rolling mill plant. MOELLER & NEUMANN G.m.b.H. 27 Sept., 1968 [30 Sept., 1967], No. 46017/68. Heading B3M. A live roller feed table, associated with a rolling mill cooling bed or pit, incorporates fixed base plates 11 (Fig. 2, in plan), rollers 12, and pivotable wipers 13 normally forming part of a vertical wall 11a. The wipers can be pivoted by a linkage 15 to the dotted position, thereby shifting rolled bars laterally from the table. The linkage is operated by a reciprocal piston 21 which rotates a toothed pinion 22. The pinion is coupled by a rod 26 to the linkage 15, a complete revolution of the pinion moving the wipers 13 between their retracted and operative positions. Adjustable slide plates 17, Fig. 3, direct the bars to a pit 18, or, alternatively, a cooling rake bed can replace the plates.
