[Also in Division G1] An apparatus for supplying predetermined amounts of liquid to containers (see Division G1 ) in which the containers are each mounted on a tiltable beam 67 having a portion 69 engageable with a tiltable lever 57, 58 for actuating a valve 59 controlling the supply of liquid, the valve 59 may comprise a piston 84 which in its uppermost position in the cylinder 82 links an inlet 61 to an outlet 65 by way of a passage 85 and which in its lowermost position links inlet 61 to an outlet 63. The cylinder may be closed at both ends and the piston provided with a throughbore (97) (Fig. 5, not shown). The apparatus, in a further embodiment (Fig. 6, not shown) may be provided with a liquid supply circuit comprising a pair of diverting valves (128), (135) between which is located a flow control device comprising a piston 132 and cylinder 131 arrangement.
