Abstract

1,214,605. Frequency synthesizers; transistor frequency dividing circuits. SIEMENS A. G. July 22, 1969 [July 23, 1968|, No.36677/69. Headings H3F and H3T. Means for deriving channel carrier frequencies of between 112 and 156 kHz and the oscillator frequency 48 kHz for multiplex carrier telecommunication systems comprises a frequency multiplier 1, Fig. 2, from which the even and odd harmonics of an input frequency of 8 kHz can be obtained from separate outputs. The 6th, 14th, 16th and 18 harmonics are selected by individual filters 2 from the even harmonic output and the 15th, 17th and 19th harmonics are selected by individual filters 3 from the odd harmonic output. The 29th, 31st, 33rd, 35th, 37th and 39th harmonics from the odd harmonic output are fed to individual frequency dividers 8 which halve their input frequencies, the outputs of these frequency dividers being fed through individual filters 7. The frequency dividers each have an input transformer forming part of a filter designed to attenuate a frequency equal to half the input frequency; such a filter may be obtained by connecting a capacitor 4, Fig.4, in series with the transformer primary.
