1,214,189. Thiophosphate derivatives. SUMITOMO CHEMICAL CO. Ltd. 15 May, 1968 [17 May, 1967; 8 Sept., 1967; 11 Sept., 1967; 12 Sept., 1967], No. 25729/70. Divided out of 1,214,188. Heading C2C. Thiophosphates of the formula where R is C 1-5 alkyl, X is halogen or a C 1-5 alkyl group, n is 0, or 1 to 5, and M is alkali metal, are prepared by reacting a phosphorothionate of formula with an alkali metal hydrosulphide of formula M.SH. The reaction is generally carried out in a solvent at a temperature of 50-200‹ C., using preferably 1À1-1À2 moles of hydrosulphide per mole of phosphorothionate. The products are useful intermediates.
