Abstract

To prevent the lower vehicle 22, Fig. 2, from running backwards off a platform 7 when the latter is lowered to the position shown in Fig. 2, stops 14, which project through the platform 7 in the lowered position, are provided on a base 5. The platforms are pivoted to the raised positions shown in Fig. 1, by a ram 12, or other mechanical means, about pins 6, 8. The upper platform 10 raises the lower platform 7 by a hinged strut 16, 17. In the drive-off position the front door of the lower car is not prevented from opening by the ram 12 or the supports 9.
