Abstract

1,213,393. Sterilized packages. JOHNSON & JOHNSON. 8 March, 1968 [8 March, 1967], No. 11411/68. Heading B8C. A sterilized surgical package comprises a polyethylene blister 2a heat sealed at 21a to a paperboard panel 3a having a tear strip 8a formed by two parallel score lines 6a, 7a cut half way through the panel from the exterior surface and by one or two parallel score lines 4a, 5a cut half way through the panel from the interior surface. A transverse score line 27 is cut into the interior surface of the panel inwardly of the heat sealed area 21a and serves to terminate incorrect de-lamination of the tear strip.
