Abstract

1,212,927. Vehicle and track. S. HAJI. 20 Nov., 1968 [22 Nov., 1967; 14 Oct., 1968], No. 55046/68. Heading A6S. A vehicle, A, has a front axle carrying frame, 21, rotatable about the slightly forwardly inclined vertical pivot, 20; rear wheels 13a, 13b, driven by either a clockwork motor or a battery motor, 18, mounted closer together than the front wheels, 23a, 23b; and a weight distribution provided to prevent the vehicle from falling off the track; so that when one front wheel, 23a, of the vehicle, runs off the level part 24, of the track B 2 , onto one of the inclined surface portions, 25, running along the edges of the track, than the decreased friction on front wheel, 23a, causes the frame, 21, to rotate about the pivot, 20, in such a direction that the vehicle is steered away from the edge of the track and thus causing the vehicle to travel in a zig-zag manner along the track. The vertical pivot, 20, is fixed to the frame, 11 of the vehicle. The track is made up of a plurality of straight, curved and crossover track sections, each provided with a means for joining said sections together. The crossover section (not shown) has four sides each provided with joint means 'to which other track sections are connected.
