Abstract
1,212,942. 2 - Halo - 1,1,1,3,3 - pentafluoropropanes. BAXTER LABORATORIES Inc. 8 Aug., 1968 [29 Aug., 1967], No. 37879/68. Heading C2C. [Also in Division A5] The invention comprises compounds of the formula wherein X is Br or Cl. The compounds are prepared by heating a mixture of 1,1,1,3,3-pentafluoro-2-propyl p-toluenesulphonate with 1-2 molar equivalents of KBr, LiBr, KCl or LiCl at 210-230 C. in a diluent. Specifications referred to 1,212,943 and 1,212,944.
