Lift valves.-A lift valve described in connexion with a motor horn comprises a disk of leather a attached to a plate a<1> connected to a cap a<3> by a spindle a<2> mounted to revolve in the bridge d. The plate a<1> is provided with inclines or cams a<4> which on rotation of the cap engage under the bridge and depress the valve plate so as to close the opening in a plate b<1> secured to the rubber bulb of the horn by radiating flanges c. A spring may be inserted between the cap a<3> and the bridge to facilitate the opening of the valve.
