1,211,876. Specific immune globulins from colostrum. TWYFORD LABORATORIES Ltd. 12 Nov., 1968 [23 Nov., 1967], No. 53375/ 67. Heading A5B. A process for the production of enhanced concentrations or amounts of specific immune globulin comprise injecting a pregnant cow with a microorganism by the subcutaneous, intramuscular, intraperitoneal or intraveneous, route collecting colostrum and separating therefrom the globulin-containing fraction consisting of a preparation comprising hyper immune bovine colostrum globulin. The separation may be effected by defatting the colostrum, removing casein to give a colostrum whey and sterilising to give a preparation comprising hyper immune globulin.
