Abstract

1,210,358. Grass collecting boxes. WILKINSON SWORD Ltd. 15 Feb., 1968 [24 Jan., 1967], No. 3427/67. Heading A1F. A grass box 10 has a bottom wall 11, a front wall 12, a rear wall 27, a convex upper wall 13 and side walls 24 which are joined at their edges to give rounded corners. An opening 21 in the rear face has a lip 26 immediately below it which acts as a pivot member when co-operating with a transverse rod of a grass-cutting machine. The rear face 19 of a rib 16 has a fastener device 30 for attachment of the box to the machine by a chain; the chain also serves to limit downward pivotal movement of the box. The ridge and lip help to increase the rigidity of the box.
