In a ball-joint of the type having a joint housing 1 formed with an aperture through which a joint pin 3 rockably and rotatably emerges, and a ball 2 mounted on the joint pin and supported in the housing; the joint housing is cast from spheroidal cast iron or malleable cast iron. The housing can be cast by any suitable method e.g. die or pressure casting, centrifugal casting, sand casting, chill casting or by the investment or "hot wax" process. The joint may include a bearing bush 4. Specification 1,094,970 is referred to.
