Abstract

1,207,991. Injection moulding; laminates. PRICE BROS. & CO. Ltd. 5 Feb., 1968 [4 Feb., 1967], No. 5480/67. Headings B5A and B5N. A protective casing for an article is produced 'by injecting a curable plastics foam material, e.g. urethane foam, into a mould lined with a more flexible plastics material, e.g. polyurethane foam, the injected material when cured bonding to the lining material. A cavity in the casing to receive the article is produced either by machining the moulded body or by placing the article or a correspondingly shaped body into the mould before the injection step. The casing may be formed in two parts so that when the parts are assembled face to face, the resultant single cavity receives the article.
