Abstract

1,207,421. Containers. POLYTHENE DRUMS Ltd. 28 Nov., 1968 [8 Jan., 1968], No. 1006/68. Heading B8P. A container has an outlet provided in a forward end wall thereof and a base wall adjacent the outlet, which base wall, when the container is disposed in its normal dispensing attitude (i.e. with the outlet orifice in the forward end wall contained in a vertical plane), is inclined from its rearward extremity downwardly to its forward extremity adjacent the forward end wall (Fig. 1, not shown). The container may be of cuboidal shape and have planar walls. A protective case for the container is described which case comprises essentially the ease disclosed in Specification 1,021,176, except that the four " base " flaps of the construction disclosed therein are replaced by two main flaps, one of these flaps carrying one at each side, a pair of hinged trapezoidal flaps (Fig. 2, not shown). A wedge-shaped insert is placed in the case to support the sloping base of the container (Figs. 3, 6, not shown).
