Abstract
1,204,777. Fuel filter. ADAMOVSKE STROJIRNY NARODNI PODNIK. 2 May, 1968, No. 20789/68. Heading BID. A filter for liquid fuel comprises a stack of annular spacer discs 5 and collector discs 4 arranged alternately with filter discs 3 between them, circumferentially spaced passages 12, 13 and 23, 24, respectively formed in the outer peripheries of discs 5 and the inner peripheries of discs 4, delivering unfiltered fuel to and removing filtered fuel from opposite sides of discs 3. Figs. 3 to 8 (not shown) illustrate the discs 4, 5, in which the passages 12, 13 and 23, 24 are formed by recesses opening on to the peripheral edges and sides of the discs but staggered so that the discs 3 are engaged by continuous annular areas of discs 4, 5 to ensure a good seal. Discs 5 consist of inner and outer rings connected only by radial spokes. Discs 4 comprise inner and outer rings connected by continuous relatively thin webs with upstanding ribs (25, 26). Discs 4, 5 are of moulded plastics and may be differently coloured for easy identification and checking in assembly. Fig. 1 (not shown) illustrates the discs stacked on a tube 2 and clamped between end covers by a spring.
