[Also in Divisions F3 and F4] A housing 21, which contains a magnet 22 having pole pieces 27, 28, is formed with at least one recess 60 or 65 into which projects a latch (as shown, a blade spring 51 or 52), the latch being co-operable with a lug 64 or 66 projecting into a cut-away section 69 of a member 61 so as to retain the magnet housing within the cut-away section. The member 61 may be part of an air-deflector, the magnet being for fastening the deflector to the outlet grill of an air heating or cooling system, Fig. 1 (not shown). Each end of the housing may be provided with a further recess 37 or 38 to permit an alternative mounting of the housing, i.e. by movement in direction 36 into a cut-away section 34 of a member 17. Ramp sections 67, 68 facilitate automatic fastening with member 61, whereas the latches have to be depressed when fastening with member 17. The magnet housing may be of polystyrene.
