Abstract

1,202,016. Mounting bobbins on spindles. ERWIN KAMPF MASCHINENFABRIK. 9 May, 1969 [4 June, 1968], No. 23711/69. Heading F2U. A hollow winding spindle 1 carries a series of bobbin carrier rings 2 mounted between fixed end rings 5 and frictionally driven by radial pins 3 pushed outwardly into engagement by an inflatable tube 4 in the spindle, the adjacent sides of the rings being formed with inner conical bearing surfaces 8 between which are mounted ball bearings 10, the arrangement allowing independent rotation of the rings 2. Each bobbin or tube holder 6 is secured on its carrier ring 2 by a threaded locking ring 14 formed with an inner conical surface engaging a circumferential helical spring 21 received in a peripheral groove 12 in the surface of ring 2.
