Abstract

1,201,431. Rolling mill guides. MOELLER & NEUMANN G.m.b.H. 1 Jan., 1968, No. 39/68. Heading B3M. A roll stand is provided with a pair of beams 16, 17 for carrying guides, the beams forming part of a frame which can be releasably clamped to a roll stand 21, Fig. 2. The beams can be adjusted vertically relative to side members 10 and 11 which are provided with projecting locating pins 23, 25 and with cylindrical bearing pins 18, 19. The frame is lifted into position in the stand by the pins 23, while the pins 18, 19 are guided by surfaces 34 into bearing recesses 20. Clamps 31 hold the frame against the stand. Hydraulically operated arms 36, which have holders 35 at their ends, engage the pins 25 to allow tilting of the frame, so as to facilitate roll changing, for example.
