Abstract

1,201,249. Treating filaments. MONSANTO CO. 15 Nov., 1967 [16 Nov., 1966], No. 51960/ 67. Addition to 937,798. Heading D1B Polymer filaments especially nylon and polyester solidified filaments. are continuously treated immediately after extrusion (i.e. within 3 seconds) and before stretching with a colouring agent, a light stabilizer, a heat stabilizer, a cross-linking agent, a dye resist or dye receptive agent followed by stretching. Emulsion of these agents may be applied to the filaments. In Example IV-XXIV acid, premetallized, boric, disperse, vat dyes and pigments are applied.
