Abstract

1,200,729. Battering-machines. DCA INDUSTRIES Ltd. 31 Aug., 1967 [15 Dec., 1966], No. 56190/66. Heading B2L. [Also in Division B8] In a machine for battering food products the products P are supported on spikes 4 on a conveyor, carried through a tank 1 containing batter and then deposited in a frying kettle 2. Traction spikes 5 are provided and these are so mounted on the conveyor that as the conveyor goes round the trier-tooth sprocket over the frying kettle .the products P are toppled into the fat. Wipers 9 clean excess hatter from the conveyor and a wiper 10 clears this excess from a drip tray 8 back into the tank 1. A conveyor belt 6 is provided to prevent the food products from floating off the spikes 4 during immersion.
