Abstract

1297194 Support collar for bag filters AUCHARD DEVELOPMENT CO Ltd 19 April 1971 [7 March 1970] 11051/70 Heading BIT [Also in Division E2] A collar for supporting a bag filter by its mouth comprises a rectangular frame which has means along at least one side which cooperates with complementary members on an adjacent collar so that the filters may be used in parallel. The means may take the form of channels 12, Fig. 4, or turned over portions 10. The filter 4 is sandwiched between two cages 5, 6 of V-shaped cross-sections and is attached to a lip 14 on the collar. The cage 6 is resilient and has its opposite larger sides connected at their top by toggles 30. The toggles are supported on rods 36, Fig. 3, having loose sleeves 37, and by moving the toggles past their over centres to the left as seen in Fig. 4, stop members 28 on the top of the cage 6 close together to allow withdrawal of the cage and filter from the collar. The cage 5 is connected to the collar by tabs 19.
