Abstract
1296088 Cyclopropane carboxylate esters ROUSSEL-UCLAF 9 Feb 1970 [7 Feb 1969 7 Jan 1970] 6150/70 Heading C2C Cyclopropane carboxylate esters of the general formula being the cis isomer and wherein R 1 is a C 1-6 alkyl, aryl, C 7-9 aralkyl, R 2 is R 1 or alkoxycarbonyl, or R 1 and R 2 together with the adjacent carbon atom form a saturated or unsaturated carboxylic ring containing 3 to 7 carbon atoms which may be substituted are prepared by reacting the cis isomer of the compound of formula or a functional equivalent thereof with (5- benzyl-furyl-3)-methanol or a functional equivalent thereof. The compounds may be used as the active ingredient in insecticidal compositions.
