Abstract
1295932 Gasoline ETHYL CORP 22 May 1970 [28 May 1969] 24987/70 Heading C5G Gasoline compositions comprise a minor amount of an alkyl aromatic hydrocarbon having at least one C 11 + alkyl group and a molecular weight of 400-1200 produced by reacting benzene, a C 1 -C 4 alkyl benzene, diphenyl, a C 1 -C 4 alkyl-diphenyl, naphthalene, a C 1 -C 4 alkyl-naphthalene, anthracene, phenanthrene, fluorene or indene with a mixture of even carbon number monoolefins ranging predominantly from C 12 -C 30 wherein at least 30 wt. per cent have the vinyl type α-olefin configuration, at least 30 wt. per cent have the vinylidene α- olefin configuration and the remainder have internal olefin configurations. The gasoline may also contain tetraethyl lead, ethylene dichloride and ethylene dibromide.
