Abstract
129,527. Gunton, F. W. Oct. 1, 1918. Differential gearing; transmission gear of invariable ratio.-Comprises an arrangement of differential gearing which is driven from one side of the vehicle and is especially suitable for twotrack, three-wheeled cycle-cars. The half-axles. 6 are driven through the differential gear 8, the housing 14 of which is fixed to sleeves 9, 10, rotating in bearings 11, 12, carried by the springs 13. The sleeve 10 is driven from the engine 19 through bevel or worm gear enclosed in a casing. 20 rotatably mounted on an extension of the bearing 12. The casing 20 is bolted to the anchor-plate of the brake for the road wheel 4, and has secured to it a casing 22 enclosing the driving shaft, this casing being supported at its front end in a boss 23 fixed to the chassis.
