Abstract

1295262 Dispensers for razor blades and shaving units WILKINSON SWORD Ltd 21 Jan 1970 [28 Jan 1969] 4753/69 Heading B8P A dispenser for razor blades, particularly those which are an integral part of a shaving unit, comprises a basically rectangular hollow box 10 which has a withdrawal opening 11 at one end and which accommodates a plurality of blade units 14 which are urged toward the opening 11 by means of a spring-loaded slider 15 having triangularly-shaped teeth 16b at the ends of outwardly-sprung side arms 15a, which co-operate, with a ratchet action, with recesses 16a in the corresponding sides 16 of the box 10 so that the slide cannot move backwards. The box 10 may comprise an upper housing 12 and a separate base 13, the opening 11 extending a short distance backwards in the top surface and downwards a short distance from the base 13. The spring force for the slider is provided by two coil springs 17. The under-face of the endmost unit 14 can be engaged by the jaws of a handle as described in Specification 1,160,542.
