Abstract

1294140 Coating apparatus F WEGNER 4 Dec 1969 59353/69 Heading B2L [Also in Division B6] Apparatus for the production of abstract pictures on a substrate 3 comprises a rotatable holder I having radial arms with adjustable and removable end stops 4, the pictures or patterns being formed by the action of centrifugal force on paint dropped or sprayed on the substrate. The holders are mounted on shafts 7, 8 of electric motors 9, 10 the starting switches of which may be associated with timing and counting apparatus. A single motor may be provided to drive both holders. Splash guards 11, 12 may be provided and a series of spray guns 17 to dispense different colours. Mirrors mounted at an angle may be located above the rotary holders in order to allow viewing of the painting process from a distance.
