Abstract

1293482 Electro-photography PENTACON DRESDEN KAMERA-UND KINOWERKE VEB 7 Jan 1971 891/71 Heading G2H A plurality of development units form a unitary structure to bring each unit successively into the same working position for multi-colour development involving separate transfer of each developed image. As shown, units 1,2 and 3 are brought successively into working relationship with a photo-conductive drum 7 by a combined rotary and pivoting action about points 4 and 6 respectively, dry toner hopper flap 13 being opened electromagnetically and receiver flap 14 being opened by contact with a stop 16. On removal from the working position, a gravity-operated return flap (11) Fig.2 (not shown) opens to allow toner to return to the hopper compartment from the receiver compartment. In a modification, Fig.3 (not shown, allowing rotation only in the direction shown), the receiver and return flaps are dispensed with.
