Abstract

1293015 Door and window sills CONDER INTERNATIONAL Ltd 13 Jan 1971 [4 Feb 1970] 5258/70 Heading E1J A window or door sill comprises a fixing cap 1 at each end, each cap being secured to a building member extending perpendicular to the sill, each cap being of an injection moulded plastics material and having a recess 13 to receive an end portion of the sill. Back surface 3 of the cap abuts against the upright building member, bead edge 12 causing lip 10 to flex. The front face 4 has three ribs 5 through each of which extends a bore 6 with a counter bore for securing screws. Cylindrical projections 8 with bores 9 strengthen the cap. The sill is of extruded Al or wood and is fixed to member 16 by screws.
