Abstract

1292897 Bottle carrier MARDON SON & HALL Ltd 8 Oct 1971 [10 Nov 1970] 53313/70 Heading B8C A tubular holder for carrying necked containers, e.g. bottles 20 comprises a first pair of panels 10, 11 divergent from a common fold line 15 and a second pair of panels 12, 13 divergent from a common fold line 17 and foldably connected to the first pair of panels, the pairs of panels being bonded together by at least one glue flap, the first pair of panels being provided with registering apertures 16 adapted to receive the necks of containers and the second pair of panels being folded or foldable inwards at the common fold line 17 in order to cause or permit the first pair of panels 10, 11 to open about their common fold line 15. As shown, the holder is formed from a blank which includes a glue flap 14 and on which apertures 19 along the fold line 17 assist the inward folding of the panels 12, 13 after the holder is applied to the container necks. In another arrangement, Fig. 5, for a double row of containers, four panels 25-28 of equal size connected by fold lines 59-31 are provided with apertures 34 and with pairs of triangular flaps 35 or the fold lines 29-31 which permit inward folding of both pairs of panels to the erected condition of the holder shown in Fig. 7. The holder is provided with a handle section 32.
