Abstract
1291989 Junction pieces SKODA NARODNI PODNIK 3 Dec 1969 [10 Dec 1968] 58997/69 Heading F2G [Also in Division H2] In an electrical rotating machine stator winding composed of insulated bars 3 formed from single conductors of which some are hollow and provided with direct internal liquid cooling, the ends of a pair of bars are electrically and hydraulically interconnected by a good electrically conductive fitting made of a seamless thickwalled circular cross-section tube and comprising a U-shaped elbow 2 whose substantially parallel cylindrical ends 6 are for a part of their length slid into two sleeves 1 with a clearance 7 in which they are brazed liquidtightly within the sleeves, and the sleeve free ends are shaped in accordance with the bar ends received therein and dimensioned to accommodate such ends with a clearance 9 required for brazing. The fitting material may be electrolytic Cu, and a screw joint 4 may be provided for the admission or discharge of cooling liquid. This construction allows for inaccuracies in manufacture either longitudinally, shown dotted or transversely (Fig. 2).
