Abstract
1291121 Lock nuts GEORGE COOPER (SHEFFIELD) Ltd 5 Feb 1970 [13 Feb 1969] 7944/69 Heading F2H A lock-nut comprises a collar 18 of rubber nylon or other plastics material arranged within a recess adjacent to one end face of the nut, the collar 18 being arranged to extend axially not further than the recess and being keyed to the recess to prevent displacement therein. The collar which may be held in the recess by a swaged portion of the nut adjacent the recess may be provided with a part cylindrical key 30 which is arranged to fit in a correspondingly shaped keyway 28 within the recess. The key and keyway may extend axially the full depth or only part of the depth of the recess.
