Abstract

1289808 Packaging small articles SCOVILL MFG CO 5 Aug 1971 [24 Aug 1970] 36956/71 Heading B8C A transparent reusable package 14 for a plurality of small articles is mounted on a carrier panel 12, the package being formed of transparent resilient sheet material and adhesively secured to the panel. The package comprises an article-carrying member 16 having a raised central island 18 with article receiving indentations 26 therein and a cover member having a central pocket 32 aligned with and slightly larger than the island, the article carrying member and the cover being integrally formed from a single sheet, the raised island being undercut therearound and the pocket in the cover having undercut margins so that the pocket will snap over the island to hold the articles in the indentations and the distal margins of the article carrying member and the cover each having a tab 38 or 40 extending outwardly therefrom and laterally staggered and extending over the surface of the carrier panel 12 and adhesively secured to the panel, whereby the cover can be opened by stripping up the tab thereof and the package can be stripped off the panel.
