1289801 Digital and analogue store SIEMENS AG 19 April 1971 [1 April 1970] 25907/71 Heading G4M Digital and analogue information store has magnetic cards for storing digital data, microimage cards and a card transportation device conveying the magnetic cards to a magnetic write and read station and the micro-image cards to a micro-image read station. Cards are fed from the store by rollers 7 to a drum 8 and magnetic read/write head 5. The cards are replaced in the store by the rollers and by deflectors 9 or are carried by the rollers to an optical read station (Fig. 6). The cards are halted by an adjustable stop moved by band and roller 26 controlled by a motor to adjust the card in the X-direction. A television camera 2 having several objectives 3 is raised or lowered by a further motor so that a portion only of the card may be examined by light from source 6 passed through lens 23. After examination the card is transferred by rollers 7 past drum 8 and returned to the store. Data from the camera may be fed to a video recorder via a telephone line and be remotely displayed. The cards may be selected by a data processor coupled to the display and to keyboards at the display location.
